Lou Bailly for Les Néréides Loves Animals
The Les Néréides Loves Animals Foundation is pleased to highlight its cause through the work of the talented wildlife photographer Lou Bailly-Kermène.

Gloria
Having trained at the EFET photography school in Paris, Lou casts a tender and resolutely contemporary gaze on animals, whose bodies she sublimates with modernity by lingering on unexpected details: a look, the curve of a tail, the charm of a spot…

For Les Néréides Loves Animals, Lou Bailly created a series of portraits of rescued or adopted animals. Eight dogs, four cats, and a chameleon posed for her camera against colorful backgrounds evoking the gentle world so dear to the Maison. She delicately captured the unique personalities of these thirteen little companions: the surprise of Zlatan, the ginger cat caught mid-snarl; the tender gaze of Gloria, a Staffordshire Bull Terrier rescued after being abandoned in London; and the humanity of Bloemie, a Brittany Spaniel/French Bulldog mix we featured here. Also included are Shiba, Nelson, Django the Saint Bernard, Mikette… all wonderful examples of Maison Les Néréides' commitment to animal welfare, selected for this project because their stories embody a powerful slogan: Adopt, don't shop!
Thanks again to Lou for this wonderful series of emotionally resonant portraits! See all of her work here and follow her on Instagram, @loubailly!
