Portrait: Eujin and Dani

Les Néréides Loves Animals presents Dani and her owner Eujin, a Korean-born graphic designer for Les Néréides. Dani holds a special place in the hearts of the team, as she comes to the office every day, where she spends time with the handsome Gabi , whom we introduced to you here a while back. Discover her story!

Who is she?

Her name is Dani, she is 1 year old, she is a female Jindo cross.

Can you tell us about your first meeting?

While volunteering at a shelter in Korea during my vacation, I met Dani. She was very thin, and she clung to my legs, looking at me with her very sad eyes. I couldn't resist.

Its best quality?

She is a very affectionate and expressive dog, and we understand each other with just a look. She listens to me very well!

His biggest flaw?

She's not very sociable because of her life in the shelter and is quite timid. She's very attached to her territory and guards it jealously!

A nickname, and if so, why?

Dandan or Danette, because I find it cute.

What does his presence bring to your daily life?

She's my sweet little baby! Her presence helps me live so much better. I feel less stressed and happier with her by my side.

Which association was contacted?

It's a shelter in Korea, but not a large organization like the SPCA. A kind gentleman has been rescuing and caring for abandoned dogs himself since 1998. Today, it's a private shelter run with the help of volunteers. There are about a hundred dogs there waiting for their forever homes. What is his biggest mistake?

Luckily for me, Dani doesn't get up to too much mischief, but she's a real foodie and sometimes she rummages through the garbage in the kitchen when I'm not there!

And what's the most unusual anecdote you experienced with her?

Once she tried to jump into the Seine while passing under the Carrousel bridge… it scared me but I also had a good laugh, what an adventurer my Dani is!
