Action: Summary of donations for the year 2021

The Amaddeo family, owners of the high-end costume jewelry brands Les Néréides and N2, are behind the Les Néréides Loves Animals Foundation , which extends their personal commitment to animal protection. The foundation was created in 2015 by Pascale and Enzo Amaddeo. In 2021, the LNLA Foundation made various donations totaling over €55,000, distributed to several associations.

Each season, the designers offer an exclusive collection of costume jewelry, with 15% of the sale price of each piece donated to the Foundation. The Foundation funds shelters and rescue centers that work to protect abandoned, endangered, or sick animals.

These organizations are selected for their values and dedication to rescue and, more generally, the defense of animal rights.

Donations for the year 2021

In 2021, the Les Néréides Loves Animals foundation donated a total of 58,500 euros to various associations, organizations and shelters with the aim of contributing to animal protection.

Among these, the foundation made donations to: the Helga Heidrich Foundation (€12,000), the All Dogs Matter organization (€6,000), the BAWA association (€9,000) and the People for Animals organization (€11,000).

Sydney Dogs & Cats Home

Sydney Dogs & Cats Home is Sydney's only animal shelter. It is owned and operated by the Sydney Dogs & Cats Home Incorporated association.

The shelter has been caring for lost, abandoned and neglected animals in Sydney since 1946.

Their aim is to provide shelter, food, and veterinary care to lost, homeless, and abandoned dogs and cats, in partnership with local councils in Sydney. The animals are cared for and kept at their shelter until they can be reunited with their owners or find a suitable new home.

Sydney Dogs and Cats Home follows the Getting to Zero movement, which means that every healthy and treatable animal that comes through their doors is then rehomed, and there is no time limit to an animal waiting for adoption.

More than 500 volunteers give over 10,000 hours of their time each year to the organization.

The Helga Heidrich Foundation

The Helga Heidrich Foundation is headquartered in Burgwedel, Germany, and its mission is to help animals in need in Morocco. For over 18 years, they have rescued numerous animals from torture, poisoning, and starvation.

Unfortunately, animal protection in Morocco is still in its early stages, so it is not surprising that every year several thousand animals are poisoned or slaughtered.

The Helga Heidrich Foundation therefore seeks to find lasting solutions to the immense problems and to consolidate them so that the situation improves in the long term.

Their goal is to contribute to the preservation of species diversity, and to preserve certain animal species threatened with extinction in Morocco.

The All Dogs Matter organization

The organization All Dogs Matter works in partnership with individuals and organizations to rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome dogs in need. They also work with individuals to find homes for their dogs if they are no longer able to care for them.

As part of their rehoming work, the dedicated organization matches each dog with the right new owner, ensuring they are safe, cared for, and loved for the rest of their lives. They combine the use of foster homes and kennels to care for the dogs before they find their forever homes. Many of the dogs All Dogs Matter place in foster homes before being adopted.

Each dog is checked by a veterinarian, vaccinated, sterilized, microchipped, dewormed and treated for parasites.

In 2021, All Dogs Matter rescued and rehomed 330 dogs, reunited 11 dogs with their families, provided temporary care to dogs through 20 foster families and regularly worked with 20 volunteers.

The BAWA association, Bali Animal Welfare Association

BAWA, the Bali Animal Welfare Association, is based in Bali, Indonesia. BAWA works to rescue, protect, and improve the lives of animals in Bali and the surrounding areas.

BAWA rescues animals in emergency situations. They provide them with food, medicine, rehabilitation, and find them homes.

BAWA provides an emergency response for any animal in distress – from snakes to dolphins. Special attention is given to Bali's heritage dog – the endangered Kintamani.

The association rescues over 1,000 animals in distress each year. Balinese people may love their animals but often cannot afford treatment; therefore, donations to the association fund these services.

Once an animal is rescued, treated, and recovered, BAWA's main challenge is finding it a home. Currently, hundreds of animals live under their care, all awaiting their forever homes. They also run a robust fostering program that socializes the animals and prepares them for their future families.
